Gorgeous Moorings

JUMPSUIT: sold out, more from Faithfull the Brand here/SANDALS: (c/o) Sezane/NECKLACE: Shashi

As you may have seen, I’ve been traveling nonstop lately. While I love being able to travel abroad (next stop: back to Mexico!), one thing I truly enjoy doing is getting to really know a city near me. It’s easy to forget that South Florida is a paradise destination – so why not explore the hidden gems that are waiting to be found right here?

THINK: a sanctuary of swaying palms, 18 secluded Bahamian style bungalows (without having to go to the Bahamas!) all connected to a sparkling shoreline. Now imagine, hammocks throughout the entire property – to encourage and welcome your most relaxed self. Right? A piece of heaven or what I’d like to call The Moorings Village in Islamorada, Florida Keys. Let’s explore…

As you have it, my latest adventure with the amazing LIKEtoKNOW.it family landed us right in the heart of Brazil aka the Amazon Rainforest. (Like what?!) Scunci Love

ROMPER, SANDALS (similar), EARRINGS (similar here and here)

HAIR WRAP: (c/0) Scunci

Growing up as an aspiring ballerina, it was natural and easy for me to pull my hair back into a sleek “ballerina bun” almost every single day of my life (I did exactly that until I was twenty-two). I could (and still can) do this in my sleep! So whether it be picking up bobby pins, necessary hair spray, no-damage elastics, hairnets (oh and did I mention scrunchies?) were the norm in my household. In fact, it wasn’t uncommon for my dad to walk around with a magnet scooping up the missing bobby pins and hair clips or for my brother to find a hairnet tucked away in his pile of clothes followed by: “Ugh, Stephanie!! Get this hairnet out of my stuff!” (If you’ve ever seen a hairnet, you know how unsettling this discovery can be!)

How I Use eBay

CULT GAIA BAG: more options here/HERMES TWILLY SCARF: more options here/SANDALS: similar options here

(worth checking out? This bracelet, too!)

What if there was a way to shop for designer without breaking the bank – rather put money back in the bank? Enter eBay. One of my biggest secrets.

Though you may have seen many of my favorite investment pieces featured on the blog, one thing you may not have realized is how diligent I am about purchasing them. Weeks if not months go into each purchase. Because let’s be real for one sec – spending your hard-earned money should involve intention and strategy. And I try to be as responsible as I can when investing in my closet. (To my boyfriend reading this, please stop laughing.) I’m serious.

Indian Diaries Pt. 3: Q&A

DRESS: (c/o) Gal Meets Glam/SANDALS: similar here/EARRINGS: Zara, more options here/BANGLES: from Indian market

As I mentioned on Instagram a few weeks ago, I’ve received a ton of questions ranging from India to what lens I use from how I pack to what app I use for my IG Stories, so I thought, “let’s get to it…all of it on the blog today!”

But before I dive in, please know I am not an expert on India nor do I know all the answers or fully understand the creative bursts that make up the wonderment of this culture. I am just happy to highlight + share with you some personal tips from my own experience in India. I hope there’s something you can take away from it, too!

Cartagena Pt. 2: Q&A

DRESS: Zara (more options here)/EARRINGS: Mercedes Salazar/TOTE

IT’S BEEN A MINUTE.

Like, woah. I know, I know. It’s taken me months to share this post. Blame it on the travels.

In case you missed it, I shared a blog post on where to shoot in Cartagena in March because I received SO many questions about it! (I also published a post about where I stayed in Cartagena here.) Today I’m answering some of your commonly asked questions like best places to eat, shop and stay.

Sunny, for a Second

CAMI, PANTS, SANDALS, FLOPPY HAT, EARRINGS: (c/o) River
Island

Ah, that time of year where summering around is “officially” welcomed. Sure living in S. Florida is summertime year round but lately, the past few weeks have been a toss up of rolling thunder and rain. Talk about a complete contrast.

At last, the sun is finding her way back to us. Knock on wood, hope I’m not speaking too soon. (UPDATE: as I hit publish, the rain came back. Ugh.)

In response to the brief moments of sunshine, I could not help but quickly gravitate towards one of my favorite fast-fashion UK brands – River Island. If you’re not familiar with River Island from some of my previous blog posts (click here and here) – think: fun, on-trend and always new with styles fitting for me and you. *sings song*

Islamorada Beauty

BATHING SUIT: Luli Fama in partnership with Zappos

Ah, Islamorada! My favorite destination in the Keys! Nestled between Key Largo and Key West, Islamorada is a quick three-hour drive from West Palm Beach where you will find palms for days and a serene beach front. We stayed at a small resort called The Moorings where we rented a quaint bungalow for the holiday weekend. It came equipped with everything from a brand new full-size kitchen to beach cruisers. And the view?! Don’t even get me started… the second you opened the two french doors, you walked right outside into the most gorgeous beach. I’m already counting down the days until my next visit! If you’re a young couple looking for a romantic getaway or have a small family, the Moorings is the place for you!

Breath of Fresh Air

DRESS: here/SANDALS: love these!/BAG: affordable options here and here/EARRINGS: similar here, here and here

I can’t tell you how refreshing it feels to stay in one spot for more than two weeks at a time! I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with my boyfriend, get (somewhat) organized again and mentally decompress from packing – unpacking – packing – unpacking. Although I’m leaving again this week for another destination, it won’t be far from home. Just three hours south! Yep, you guessed it. I’m headed to the Keys…
