Both my bank account and I have come to the conclusion that life is too short to ignore cute sweaters. Pretty sure everyone else feels the same way.

Because I CANNOT go shopping without seeing sweaters everywhere. Bell-sleeved sweaters. Pastel sweaters. Oversized sweaters. Cashmere sweaters. Logo sweaters. Statement sweaters. It seems they are everywhere. Which I like to think is a “sign” from the shopping angels above to forge ahead and invest.

Two weeks ago while I was in Ft. Lauderdale for the taping of a segment with NBC and European Wax Center, I made a quick pit stop at the Sawgrass Mills Shopping Center (specifically The Colonnade luxury shops) to do some “window shopping.” I gave myself a budget of $1000 $250.

First stop? Maje. My little secret (not so much anymore) for iconic French pieces on sale. I tried on every item in the store – including ones that were still in boxes in the back of the store – to see what I could find. The result? Two sweaters, one skirt and one epic leather midi skirt (soon to be featured on the blog).

(The sweater situation at Maje was unreal. If you’re reading this and you’re from South Florida, I suggest you visit the store.)

Next stop? Gucci.

I have to say. The Gucci store at Sawgrass Mills is impressive. (Honorable mention to the Saint Laurant store too!) My best friend (who also took a half day off) had to restrain me from buying multiple sweaters, shoes and belts. I settled on one belt – the one I’m wearing – for a conservative price. And, gave myself a silent pat on the back for being a “budget” shopper. Because deep down inside I wanted to break the bank.

On my way home back to West Palm Beach, I thought of the many ways I could style each newly purchased item and came to the conclusion that this look, as pictured, was the best representation of my shopping haul. So here you have it…

Unfortunately, my sweater, jeans and belt are no longer available online so I linked similar items above! The rest can be found below…

Happy Monday my fellow shopaholics!
