Honestly, it’s OK to get dressed even if it means just to be home. Why? It sets the tone for the day! Of course, pajamas and loungewear are acceptable and loved (as seen here), but I know for a fact balance is also key. The process of getting dressed to #WFH, complete chores or prepare for a conference call is another important part of self-care. It’s a great way to work up some motivation, add structure and fuel productivity. And it helps you feel put together instead of anxious and unmotivated and creates boundaries so we can differentiate work from rest. That said, I wanted to share a few dress brands I love that I find to be both comfy and sophisticated to wear all day. Hope you love them as much as I do! Meadows A romantic and feminine brand inspired by the Victorian era. Meadows prioritizes ethical and sustainable practices to ensure slow, sustainable fashion. They have such a beautiful collection – I have been eyeing this piece! India Amory Founded by Julia Amory who developed the concept of India Amory while searching for printed fabric to use for tables at her own wedding. Since she was unable to find the perfect print at a reasonable cost, Julia designed her own pattern using the Indian block print technique (incredible!). Now, she’s created a whole stunning lifestyle brand from home to apparel to accessories! Free People Confident and comfortable — free and adventurous. Values that Free People continue to carry through their design and vibe. That’s why their pieces are so wonderful to pair with a WFH sophistication with a side of comfort. Sea Formed out of a friendship between two childhood friends, Sean Monahan and Monica Paolini, their vision for vintage-feeling pieces and modern, clean styles are brought to life. I love Sea’s signature silhouettes and beautiful use of lace, embroidery and knits to create an effortless and romantic look. Gal Meets Glam Founded by Julia H Engel, one of my favorite tastemakers and creatives, she captures beauty, romance and a sense of timelessness in every design. Leaving you to feel more feminine, beautiful and present — it’s so easy to wear all day long. I adore her Gal Meets Glam collection and always look forward to her latest dresses! Whit With clean silhouettes and eclectic details, like artful prints and distinctive structures, Whit naturally blends beauty and playfulness into the collection. Resulting in a mix of eye-catching and easy-to-wear clothing — loving the sound of this! Agua by Agua Bendita Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza followed their passion for design and launched their Colombian label, Agua by Agua Bendita, featuring craft dresses and stunning swimwear. They wanted to tell their story and demonstrate how the mixture of details, contemporary design and handicrafts represent Colombia. Nonetheless, it’s become one of my favorite brands ever since discovering them last year (as seen here and here) and I will continue to support small business even more so throughout this difficult time. Rhode Known as a vacation-ready clothing line, Rhode embraces a bohemian style with a sophisticated bent; incorporating mature tones, high-end fabrics and luxe details. Safe to say, it’s inevitable to wear a Rhode’s dress without feeling transported to another place and time (aka your favorite getaway).
