BLOUSE, SKIRT, HEELS (old Alexandre Birman, but I also love this pair for a slightly lower heel!) BURBERRY TOTE, EARRINGS: (℅) MONNIER Frères Last week I talked about the variety of color blocking and the fun ways I like styling it this fall. But here’s the thing, as much as I love bright colors, timeless neutrals also hold a special place in my heart (and closet!). So while we rotate into the new season it’s easy for me to put things in neutral (like automatically). Why? Because seasonless and sleekness are def. great things to keep in your wardrobe, too. Name one good reason you wouldn’t – I’ll wait. Still waiting. (Oh, and don’t let the word “neutral” and its blah undertones mislead you…) In fact, neutral goes beyond the black and whites aka it’s something that goes with anything. Navy in place of black or grey over white. Picking up what I’m putting down? Lately, my personal neutrals have been khakis and a gold touch, which are pretty perennial in my eyes. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely a place for fun colors, prints and patterns – just as there’s a place for staple neutrals. And since I’ve had a lot of cleaning, packing and organizing to do with the process of me moving into a new apartment (ahhh, so exciting and cray at the same time! More on this later…) I’ve realized something – I can’t part from some (key) neutral accessories. Let’s be honest… I love accessories (but you already knew that). I’d like to take a moment to consider the fact that you can still turn up the volume with neutral ones. Like these gold hoops from designer, Sylvia Toledano, found at MONNIER Frères. Adding them to my outfits easily create an immediate, subtle pop. Staring at the mirror and thinking talk neutral to me because the proof is in the accessories. Oh, I also can’t leave behind a complementing tote! It completes my whole look every time. Especially the spacious ones where I can pack an extra pair of shoes, laptop, even my camera…oh and snacks (yasss)! That on-the-go work life is real – so the more room the better. I’m loving this one from Burberry a la my friends at MONNIER Frères! It’s somehow easily forgotten, but accessories can go a long way in adding that heavy dose of personality and originality to a look. I can’t resist! And I have my lovely friends at MONNIER Frères to thank because the gems here are endless! You can also see why I think MONNIER Frères is the perfect destination for all things designer accessories from my earlier post. With little effort, these neutral pieces have transformed my outfits indefinitely. Xo, Stephanie P.S.
