Yep, fashion? It’s a jungle out there. I’m not referring to the actual jungle, but it’s exotic animal prints showing up everywhere on and off the runway at New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks. Despite not attending this season, one animal print claimed its place in my heart: snakeskin (faux, of course). Sure the print is synonymous with rock n’ roll, but it’s revival has taken on a chic and classic appeal. Instead of a loud print that demands attention, snakeskin can actually be worn as a neutral (surprise!). Most snakeskin prints consist of greys, brown and whites, which can easily pair with pretty much anything. So it’s more versatile than you think! Dresses, pants, blouses, boots… in snakeskin. It’s all about making the print your own, as shown today. Ann Taylor’s consistent sophisticated, feminine approach to modern essentials has won me over through the years, which is why I decided to feature some of their #petitefriendly pieces from their new limited-edition snakeskin capsule collection. Their rendition strikes the perfect balance between chic and standout; taking a trend and making it timeless. As I grow older, I find myself focusing more and more on investment pieces to add to my master closet, apartment and life, really. Check out the line; I promise this one fits in (and stands out) perfectly. xo, Stephanie Featured: Snakeskin dress, blouse and skirt.
