Looking Cool When it’s Warm

TURTLENECK: J.Crew/BLOUSE: The Kooples – more options here/SHORTS: Maje/HEELS: (c/o) Ann Taylor/BAG: (c/o) Isti/EARRINGS: (c/o) BaubleBar/SUNNIES: (c/o) Neiman Marcus

The weather in South Florida is anything but cold right now. In fact, it’s scorching – hot and humid with little to no room for wearing warm clothing. But that’s not stopping me from stepping out in a cute outfit. Besides – If I took off the turtleneck, the look would not be the same. Priorities…

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with layering. And although it’s 90 degrees in South Florida and I get heat stroke every time we shoot, I am taking every chance I get to wear cute layers this fall. Who cares if it’s hot?!

Today’s turtleneck is from J.Crew and made from a fabric that’s light. So it isn’t that bad (nor that expensive). And my blouse? It’s silk. (This one sold out last year. Click here for more options.)

I finished off the look with khaki shorts from Maje (one of my all-time favorite brands – I wear a size 34/1/XS) and heels from Ann Taylor. (In case you haven’t figured out by now, I’ve been living in red heels! Click here and here for my two favorites.)

Back to Maje real quick.

You know you have a problem your obsessed with the brand when the store associates text you pictures of their “new arrivals.” #facepalm In all seriousness though, check them out. Their price points are amazing considering the quality is outstanding. No joke – outstanding. You can find more from Maje here or at your local Bloomingdales.

Stay tuned for many more fall-inspired looks! The other day, I bought a leather midi skirt (on MAJOR sale) which is like the most impractical thing in South Florida. While I was at it, I nabbed two chunky sweaters and a new red trench. The store associates thought I was crazy. But who cares. I loved it all and plan to share it soon!

Have a great Sunday everyone! The only thing I plan to do today is shop spend time with my lovely lovely boyfriend… :-p
