July 1^st officially marked the first half of the year, and much like the beginning of the year, this is a great time to hit refresh and map out what you want for the rest of the year. It’s also my birthday month. AH! [freaking out]

Whether you’ve decided to get fit, save up and buy that amazing Chloé ‘Drew’ medium sized textured-leather shoulder bag in the most beautiful hue of ‘Blush’ (still not there yet), move to a different city this year or find true love, there’s no better time to declare it AGAIN and go after it.

The great thing about having a blog is you can revert back to old posts and see how much has changed. While I’m not in the place where I thought I’d be today, I’m one step closer. But that’s life, right?!

For today’s post, I looked back at what I said in my “New Year, New Me” post. Here’s what I declared…

1. Save up and buy a great bag. – Work In Progress
2. Visit my tailor more often. – Check.
3. Buy quality pieces and build a wardrobe around them. – Check.
4. Embrace change. – TRIPLE CHECK.
5. Amp up my skincare routine. – Check. Check. Thanks First Aid Beauty!

And ABOVE all…

6. WEAR FLATS. – check check check! I’ve come a long way guys…

Today’s outfit was put together courtesy of Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton. I’m wearing a silk peasant blouse from Rebecca Minkoff with lace shorts and gladiators from Forever 21. All three pieces are versatile and perfect for summer.

I accessorized it with a perforated bucket bag by Loeffler Randall (love this emerging designer), a Very Allegra statement necklace and retro sunnies.

Hope you guys do the same! It’s refreshing to look back and restart. Trust me!
