[Rainy Sun Design] Blouse: French Connection via TJ Maxx $39.99/Pants: Banana Republic $26 (after sale)/Clutch: Francesca’s Collection $38/Sandals: Steve Madden (old) – find a similar pair here/Necklace: (c/o) Bar III via Macy’s $38/Earrings: Francesca’s Collection $4.95/Nail Polish: Essie ‘Waltz’ (my go to for a mani) and ‘Capri’ (so classic for a pedi) Whether an iPhone case, a bag, hosiery, an itsy-bitsy teeny tiny bikini or a piece of clothing, we have all polka dots somewhere in our closets. The pattern, equal parts classic and girly, can be so much fun to wear – and if you’re a style-extrovert like me, too tempting to ignore. To achieve this look, start with pants – this playful pair is great to wear when transitioning from work-to-dinner style. The polka dot design is cut to fit straight through the waist and thigh, and then narrows a bit towards the calf. Wear yours with a simple white tee and sandals, or team them with a bold printed top, like this one from French Connection purchased from TJ Maxx for less than $40. Scoooore! Even though it’s a print, the pressed crease helps elongate your profile (hard to see in the photos), while the polka dot finish distracts from problem areas like your thighs and hips. If you feel uneasy about wearing pants like this pair, then my suggestion is to opt for wearing just a polka dot top or opt for pants that have smaller dots on them. The same applies for your top – be sure to choose a print that you’re comfortable with. Just remember… the bigger the print, the bolder the look. Love it? Give it a try and shop the polka dot inspired look below (I’m obsessed with the necklace and clutch)! In a couple days, I’ll have a new tab on my website for my all wish list items (think tons of accessories, brights, shoes, etc.) – all of which will be shopable! Ah, I can’t wait! Stay tuned… and have a fab day today! Xo, Stephanie Turn on your JavaScript to view content
