Restyled Series: October

This past August, I launched a new series on the blog called Restyled where I shop my closet once a month re-featuring items I love. Long gone are the days where I wear things once and move on, especially when planning a wedding (a year out!), investing significantly into my blog and consciously aware of its environmental impact. That’s why regularly shopping my closet is both fiscally smart and socially responsible as an influencer. So without further ado…

Behold: the Pipp Topsail handbag from Brahmin, aka the best mini-bag I own.

There, I admit it.

I actually featured Pipp earlier this year during a time where I was in the midst of traveling and investing in one of my biggest projects yet – redecorating my rental apartment. Everyday I was faced with decisions. “Steph, where are we shooting tomorrow?” “Thoughts on this paint color?” “Should we redo my bathroom?” “What about this clothing brand?” By the time I entered my closet to style looks at the end of the day, I was mentally drained. I would stare at my vast amount of clothing for hours unable to make a decision. Today, I refer to this as “decision fatigue.”

*Apparently the human brain can only handle making eight solid decisions a day!

Just recently, I started to rely heavily on pieces that were versatile and easy-to-style. Pieces that weren’t overly complicated, embellished or busy – and of course felt vintage – to make my decision process somewhat easier. I will always prefer vintage over new but, shopping vintage takes a long time and sometimes I don’t always have that luxury…so I buy pieces that mimic the same feeling…

Cue: Pipp.

The perfect mini-bag to grab-and-go. It’s simple with chic structure (naturally creates an expensive look) and the whiskey color feels luxe. The fact that it visually ties in with everything in my closet, has helped eliminate those countless hours I’d spend mixing and matching looks and overcome the decision fatigue by end of day. Needless to say, restyling looks with Pipp has saved me more time (while still looking stylish and sleek), which has been extremely helpful due to all the errands I’ve had to conquer since returning from Mexico!

Brahmin, a brand I’ve featured for the last several months, sources only the finest materials while creating chic, practical options…with a reasonable price tag attached to it aka bags that you can “buy now, wear forever.” I couldn’t be more proud to continually support this brand and style their timeless collection.

  • Nudes and shades of brown are what I’m living for these days. I love mixing and matching key pieces and I love recreating outfits from the clothes I already own. This outfit says key pieces all over it and your trousers, choice of accessories, and lipstick color are making a statement. I’m loving your outfit. It has inspired me at this moment. Thanks for sharing. x
