Self-Worth it

DRESS: Self-Portrait/BAG: Gucci – similar here, here and here/SANDALS: Gucci/EARRINGS: vintage Chanel/HAT: similar here

I must admit, today’s outfit was a bit of an “impulse” buy. As I was scrolling through Nordstrom for outfits to feature during the Takeover, I saw this dress by Self-Portrait and without hesitation clicked, “add to shopping bag.” Why? Because every time I wear a Self-Portrait dress, I not only feel feminine and beautiful, but so impressed with the quality. Therefore, making the dress 100% worth it.

(Heads up, this dress runs small – I’m wearing an XS and it fits me perfectly but I’m also very petite. If you’re worried about sizing, I suggest ordering a size up or ordering two/returning one. Nordstrom has a fantastic return policy!)

At $510, this dress is definitely on the pricier side but one that, with minimal accessories, will work for just about any season. (Yes, I wear white all year long. I live in Florida so it’s acceptable here. For those that live in other parts of the world, who cares – if you want to wear white after Labor Day, go for it!)

But the lace. The crisp cut of the dress. The semi-sheer cut-outs. Everything about it is amazing…

I wore vintage hoop earrings from Chanel with a pair of Gucci floral sandals. I added a boater hat to give this look a vintage-y slash travel-inspired feel… click here to see a similar version!

Last week, I featured this Gucci bag on the blog because it’s a classic. Well, I guess more of a statement… but either way, one you will wear again and again and again because it’s Gucci and Gucci does no wrong. This bag has imitation pearls on it in the loveliest shade of blush pink. If you’re in the market for a Gucci bag but need something simpler, consider this smaller option here or this medium-sized bag here. (The medium-sized bag is perfect for work – not too big, not too small.)

I’ve really been drawn to Self-Portrait pieces lately… check out which ones are some of my favorites + today’s outfit details below!

P.S.: Every time I publish a “real talk” blog post on here, I get SO inspired to do it again because the feedback is incredible. I’m so happy last night’s post resonated with many! That’s always my goal on here. That said, what are some topics you would like me to write about? Leave your thoughts in the comment section!

[Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!]
