Miami Swim Week

Swim Week, one of the hottest (and steamiest) weeks of the year (literally, it was like 95+ degrees) is a time where some of the biggest brands in swimwear take over Miami. I attend it every year; it’s so much fun!

This year, I hung out with Fujifilm. From sailing to swim shows, I had a blast – documenting my entire experience start to finish – with Fujifilm’s Instax Mini.

And I must admit, I’m kind of obsessed with it.

Unlike my iPhone or a digital camera (most of my blog pictures are taken with a DSLR camera), Fujifilm’s Instax Mini is straight-up old school you guys, as in it shoots and prints out a little photo in front of you. BAM. Just like that. The film pack comes with 10 sheets… meaning, you only have 10 chances to get “the shot.” All of which, have become special keepsakes on my fridge… hanging on my walls… in my wallet.

It’s also super easy to use. Sometimes when I use my DSLR camera, I get confused with all the complicated functions. With this camera, all you have to do is point and shoot. Done and done.

And can we talk about that vintage look and feel of the photos?! I LOVE it.

But by far, the best part of the camera is that it comes with a “Selfie Mode,” allowing you to take epic selfies! No lighting needed.

Here were some of the highlights…

Day 1 of Swim Week, I wore a beige corset top from H&M with an old mini skirt from Zara. Accessories by Folli Follie, a great online boutique for jewelry, watches and cute bags of high quality at super affordable prices. (I can’t tell you how many compliments this bag received!)

After checking into The Mondrian Hotel in South Beach, we had dinner at Byblos (a Miami favorite of mine!).

The second day, we rented a sailboat through Sailo.com and went sailing through Biscayne Bay.

We wrapped up the day with another epic dinner at STK in Miami Beach. I wore…

The third day (phew!), we visited Wynwood Walls with the Fujifilm gang!

The fourth day of Swim Week, I wore an old C/MEO top with Ann Taylor pants. Once again, accessorizing my look with jewelry and a cute crossbody from Folli Follie.

This year’s Swim Week was so much fun! I’m already looking forward to next year… Big thank you to Fujifilm for hosting me and to Folli Follie for the pretty accessories!
