With spring right around the corner and temps quickly rising here in Florida, now is the perfect time to assess what you need in your wardrobe for springtime. You can finally (unless you’re up north – sorry guys!) start shedding those chunky sweaters, blanket scarves, closed toe booties – store them away until next winter – and replace them with cute sundresses, printed blouses, lightweight t-shirts, white jeans and flirty midi-skirts. Much like a big event in my life, I tend to prepare in advance what I’ll be wearing. So this being said, I decided to kick start to my spring shopping a little early this year so you can see what I plan to wear!

I tend to think when shopping for seasonal essentials, it’s important to take into consideration what kind of color palate you’d like to wear and/or what colors are lacking in your wardrobe. For spring, I think colors like turquoise, purple, pink, canary yellow, mint green, white, etc. work well (note, dark colors can work too if they are paired with a bright one – I’ll discuss this more in depth in Pt. 2). This will also ensure that all your spring pieces team well with one another [slash] take the hassle out of your morning routine when pairing colors together. As a friendly reminder, your spring wardrobe should sync well with everything you already have in order to maximize it to the fullest.

This season is also especially big on floral motifs and fabulous prints, too. I mean, it’s Spring we’re talking about here. Whether you’re scared to rock them or not – prints can totally bring your wardrobe back to life [slash] make it interesting again – and not to mention, flatter your figure if you select the right ones.

This silk printed top works well with this pair of light, relaxed boyfriend jeans (which can easily transition into summer) for a casual look. I also think that both pieces paired together create a nice juxtaposition of causal and chic! And it’s totally achievable without paying a stiff price for them. [insert #fabfound]

Stay tuned for more!
