Reiss All About it

SWEATER, BLOUSE, SKIRT: (℅) Reiss/HEELS: old, similar here

I can’t believe it’s that time of the year! We’re swapping out pumpkin spice for peppermint mocha, like how did time fly by so quickly?! When I think about winter in Florida, I have to actually remind myself that it’s winter. Blame it on the warm temps that fluctuate between 90s to low 60s on a “cold” day. I love it. But you guys know that!

I also love that so many of my friends and family escape their freezing winters up north to the beautiful Sunshine State. All they need are a few essentials: sunblock, a bikini and a few transitional pieces in case it gets cold at night.

Reiss, as I’ve mentioned before, has a ton of classic/feminine options for this season and beyond. In fact, this knitted pink jumper is my ideal sweater on many levels. “But Steph, why pink?” Remember when I mentioned how pink can be transitional and seasonless? I meant it. I think there’s a season for every shade of pink. Plus, it gives me feelings of femininity, confidence and boldness altogether. Toss it on top of an everyday blouse (as shown) and voila you are layered in warmth!

I paired the above with a burnt orange midi skirt because colors are playful and fun…and it makes me happy. Though it’s still warm out, I opted for playful nude heels; it allows for the colors to pop even more. And when the temps get a little warm, I can easily slip off the sweater and wrap it around my blouse; easier said and easiest when done! That’s what’s great with layering – you can be ready for whichever direction the temps take.

Now where to go exactly with all this chicness? Here’s the scoop on my five personal favorite to-do’s:

1.) ”But first, coffee…” has become one of my favorite mantras. Grab a hot latte at the News and Gourmet cafe at the iconic The Breakers Hotel – it’s a must. Every time I go, I feel like I’ve stepped into an enchanting, secret garden tucked away from all the noise. Even if it’s just for an hour or so to get away or catch up with a friend, its charm and yummy coffee is totally worth it.

2.) The beach at sunset. It’s easy for me to unwind with the live soundtrack of waves, in a cozy lounge chair with a cup of tea in one hand and the latest must-read in the other. “What are you reading?”

3.) Sometimes you’ve got to get out and explore! I love browsing cute consignment shops on Antique Row and Palm Beach. I honestly can’t believe the rare finds I’ve stumbled upon!

4.) If you’re not already familiar with Worth Avenue on Palm Beach, I highly recommend you visit. The enchanting vias, luxury shops and fine dining are some of my favorites in Palm Beach. I love dining here with my boyfriend, especially at Pizza Al Fresco! Around this time of year, the holiday decor goes up and the lights come down – seated under the stars with amazing company; it’s pretty incredible.

5.) Above all else – shop like a local! Believe it or not West Palm Beach and Palm Beach are full of small businesses (I’m a huge supporter)! From fashion, interiors to local book stores – there’s so many options destined for you (and me). If you’re looking to get some holiday gift shopping done make sure to check out the many small shops at The Royal Poinciana Plaza or anywhere on Antique Row!
