Wow, where has the time and month gone?

I’m in the middle of Miami’s buzzy scenes and sounds, wrapping up my last few days in the most intensive photography course I’ve ever taken (but so rewarding) before I head off to Houston for a much needed break over the holidays.

My mom told me the other day, “it’s so cold here!” Which has me thinking of being wrapped up in comfy sweaters all day, curled up sipping hot tea with zero to-do’s (with the exception of my sister’s wedding). Doesn’t sound so bad, right? (happy sigh)

When I travel, I almost always pack at least one sweater in my carry on or wear it to the airport because planes can get so frigid and warm – then back to frigid in minutes. It’s the same story when I travel to Texas. The weather changes so rapidly from hot to cold – then it starts snowing out of nowhere (apparently it snowed last week in Houston). Let’s just say – I need to be prepared.

I found this chunky sweater at Banana Republic… loved it so much, I bought another one (similar option here)! I layered it over a silk blouse to add a boost of warmth or a pop of color, if you’re going with the red style. Yep, comfort and chic can be a real thing.

I also added these jeans… this pair too. #guilty (And this belt. Needed a new brown one. It was so affordable!)
