Summer looks a little different this year. We postponed some trips and wedding planning for lots of quality time at home, but with local beaches and pools slowly opening back up I’m excited to welcome the summer heat and sunshine this way. My fiance and I are itching to change up the scenery by extending our morning walks to the beach again. Possibly take a dip in our swimming pool and resume workouts in the park instead of only the balcony…it’s truly the little things. And if you’re dreaming about/planning for days in the sun or have already turned your backyard into a beach oasis, I’m sharing a roundup of beautiful swimwear brands I love and trust to help you fully enjoy the new season. Anemone Founded by Lauren Arapage and Joshua Shaub, the eco-friendly brand was inspired by an image of Kate Moss from the ‘90s (aka its signature simplicity). Timeless but modern, today the result is a chic, flattering and feminine collection of swimwear. Maygel Coronel Colombian designer, Maygel Coronel, designed for women and for life under the sun. She naturally elevates swimwear to fresh and new heights. Some signature styles include: “feminine ruffle trims, ruched single sleeves and twisted necklines.” Throwing it back to this style almost a year ago! Bahia Maria This luxury Colombian swimwear brand takes beach chic to a different level! Having worn this brand for 4+ years, I’m constantly blown away by their line (dreaming of this trip here). Their swimwear is sophisticated and elegant with the right amount of Latina ruffle that makes this brand beautifully striking — you can even pair it with jeans and shorts! Johanna Ortiz No surprise here, I had to include one of my favorite designers! Johanna Ortiz continues to create feminine, elegant and outstanding designs from her prints, fresh color palette and distinctive silhouettes (i.e. use of ruffles); all made from her country, Colombia. Eyeing this one and this one...and more. Agua by Agua Bendita One of my go-to’s is this beloved beachwear label founded by two friends, Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, who wanted to tell their story and show how the mixture of details, textile and contemporary design represent Colombia (view the full line of different collections – more options here). Silvia Tcherassi Silvia Tcherassi, one of the most celebrated Latin American designers, has a family-run label based in Baranquilla, Colombia. Sourcing only the finest Italian materials, she creates beautiful Colombian-inspired collections. And as you know, I can’t get enough of her signature silhouettes! Dos Marquesas Founded in August 2018 by two friends who decided to “always believe in your inner marquise.” Dos Marquesas is a stunning Colombian swimwear brand inspired by the power of friendship. I love how the details in their pieces consistently reveal beautiful elements of nature. Xo, Stephanie — Turn on your JavaScript to view content —
