Packing. Unpacking. And some more packing. That’s our life lately, aside from lots of coffee runs and navigating a move by ourselves… There’s certainly no glamour to it, but we’re beyond excited for this chapter and to officially move into our first home together. This season has been about easing in to all the changes, finding comfort in the little things including my outfits, which currently means a return to the basics (out of necessity, truthfully). When I stare at my closet during this transition (items that I haven’t packed), I have classic pieces on a few hangers and timeless accessories like my Brahmin handbag out on rotation, which makes it easy for me to slip into something quick and comfortable. Especially when I have to run from West Palm Beach to Miami and back… Shirt: Sezane Jeans: old Zara, similar here and here Sandals: (c/o) Song of Style Earrings: BaubleBar, similar here and here Bag: (c/o) Brahmin – I also love this style Mornings look a lot like me dashing out the door with wet hair, little to no makeup in an oversized button-down shirt that I’ve worn millions of times (love this one and this one). Then, returning back home before lunch to edit photos, steam and shoot… Button-downs have been one of the best hacks during the pandemic. It’s simple, clean and strikes the perfect balance between classic style and comfort. Reasons why I’ve purchased them in a few sizes up (and in multiple, classic colors) or will occasionally wear one (or two) of my fiance’s linen button-down shirts so they’re roomy enough to double as a cover up from my swimsuit, yet chic enough to wear with a pair of slim jeans and handbag to balance it out. As I get older and the more my style evolves, my closet has become a curated collection of more definitive, timeless pieces including my latest Brahmin handbag, the Mod Lorelei Melbourne in Savino. Since I haven’t worn a whole lot of other bags aside from my woven ones and Brahmin this entire year, I’m peppering in my Mod Lorelei Melbourne into today’s look. (Fun fact: it’s under $200) Considered a wearable neutral and versatile luxury, like any of Brahmin’s bags, it goes perfectly with my toned down style (or stylish look as needed) — something I’ve always loved about Brahmin. Because my hands have been full with so many boxes, this smaller, petite shoulder bag has helped lighten the weight and provided more flexibility to carry things and move around town. It’s also spacious enough to fit my needs: face mask, lip gloss, iPhone (and more here) along with extra storage in its interior pocket space. Embracing more casual days walking through our new neighborhood, in a breezy button-down and my classic Brahmin. And for now, trading getaways for a staycation in our cozy new home… Xo, Stephanie — Turn on your JavaScript to view content — [Thank you Brahmin for sponsoring today’s post!]
