Hey what’s up hello.

[stares at blank screen for hour]

And CUE WRITERS BLOCK.

[hour later…]

I can’t remember the last time I wrote down my thoughts and feelings in my journal. Maybe it’s because I tend to write whenever I’m emotionally charged and life’s been good lately. Or maybe it’s because I’ve had zero free time. Then again, what else is new?

Which leads me to today’s thought – how do you know when you’re going in the right direction? Whether it’s your career, a friendship, your apartment, whatever – how do you know you’re making the right moves??

As I was procrastinating researching material for today’s post, I found some helpful advice. Because I think we all experience insecure moments every time we venture into the unknown. Which, if you ask me, could be a good thing. Right?

I mean, I remember starting my blog, quitting my job and leaping into freelancing, dating again, breaking up. Heck, even taking a dance class for the first time in three years (for those new to my blog, I used to be a professional dancer. You can read more about my story here.) felt risky. But each moment brought so much clarity to my life.

Anyways. Back to my findings.

Sometimes I like answers. I like knowing the answer because it’s a comforting feeling. Don’t we all? So when every single article says (“in sum”) that you never know whether you’re headed in the right direction or if a new idea/company/ whatever will work – or totally flop and be a complete disaster – I get a little queasy. [sigh]

This topic recently came up during a conversation with a friend who’s full of wisdom and great advice and who is super spiritual and great. You know who you are. 🙂 Her answer? To have faith. Faith. Simple, right? Sometimes trusting things will work – the way they’re meant to be – is… honestly… the best answer to this question. So does it mean you stop trying in life? No, I don’t think so. Because (per my friend + everything online today) through each experience, you’ll grow and as you move through these experiences, find all the answers you’re looking for.

So I guess it’s that simple. Maintain faith. Hang tight. Keep moving. And eventually, you’ll figure it out. Right?

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts, stories, feelings, whatever is on your mind tonight! I LOVE reading your comments 🙂
