Do I use a DSLR for all my social media content? Answer is no. Why? If you’re like me, constantly on the go, traveling or wanting an “in the moment” shot (like my OOTDs), it’s nice being able to rely on that powerful tool already in the palm of our hands – the iPhone. Honestly, it captures quality images and houses pretty much every digital technology need in my book. Plus it’s always on me, so why not count on it for photography and editing, too? You know: portrait mode, increased megapixels, 4K video quality and editing apps. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t treat it as a really great camera, too. But I will say having the right apps are key. So what’s on my creative app menu when it comes to editing iPhone shots? I’m letting you in on my 5 go-to’s below: 1. VSCO Filters are amazing, especially when there are so many great options and are easy to use. VSCO became one of my first editing apps and everyday favorites. I love the stunning selections, ease of editing and how beautiful the final edit turns out. If you opt for the membership, you can unlock full access to more editing capabilities for both photography and video content. Trust me, it has yet to disappoint! 2. Facetune 2 This one is pure magic. With a few literal touches you can sharpen and make your photo pop without the need for Photoshop. For the seasoned selfie takers and detail connoisseurs, this app is for you! There’s also the epic live-editing option on photos and videos, which is unlike any other app. 3. Snapseed One of the older yet most versatile and powerful photo editing apps around! It’s user friendly, intuitive and allows you to edit and correct different aspects of an image. Whether it’s simply adjusting white balance, making one corner brighter or other in depth edits…this one gives you true control over the entire image. 4. WordSwag If you’ve seen my IG stories, then you’ve seen the fonts I love using. Spoiler alert: this is the app. It’s easy, takes minutes and has a ton of different fonts for everyone’s taste. 5. Crop & Zoom Have you ever recorded a video only to look back and wish the alignment was actually straight? Ugh, same. That’s why I’m glad to have this app in my back pocket – it’s a lifesaver! Sometimes, I’ll shoot such a memorable beach video and then I see how crooked the horizon line is, but because of this app I can adjust the lines and share the video the way I actually envisioned it.
