Guuuurl, I lurve me a good crop top [snap, snap]. I mean, who doesn’t?! What started as a cheesy trend in the 90’s where the entire stomach was exposed has since evolved into a way to show off your trim tummy in a more – tasteful way.

Paired with a high-waisted skirt or pair of chic trousers, this trendy look can elongate your look, accentuate your curves – or in my case, add them! And best of all, it’s flattering. Yes, it’s flattering! On just about any body type.

Try a long-sleeved tight top with a boyfriend blazer and pair of black booties when it gets chilly or a flowy, boxy one with a midi skirt, tight pencil, adorable pleated, asymmetric or A-line skirt when going for a modest look. Just be sure to select one that’s proportional to your body type. Also, don’t forget to take the choice of fabric into consideration. Lace and leather work well in cooler climates. Linen and cotton look great in the heat. But that’s just my opinion – rock whatever you feel comfortable in.

The one I’m wearing here by Ronny Kobo was given to me from the team at Marshalls, but there are a ton online and in pretty much every single store right now. So to help you out and get you started (if you haven’t already purchased like a million of them), I’ve complied a list of some of my favorite cop tops below from online stores like Asos, Nasty Gal and ShopBop.

Happy Tuesday loves!
