SWEATER, SHORTS – similar here and here, WEDGES, BAG: (c/o) Neiman Marcus

Hey guys! I’m back in Palm Beach. I spent the past couple of days helping one of my best friends get ready for her wedding in Vancouver. Hence, the lack of posts – but it was definitely worth it! Sometimes it’s best to dial back from social media to enjoy the moment. And boy, was it special being in her wedding and experiencing so much love from her family and friends! Congrats Mel and Elliot! <3

I’m just getting around to posting this look from Neiman Marcus, which was shot a couple weeks ago in the sweltering heat of South Florida. I took some of my favorite warm-weather basics, like denim shorts and wedges, and styled them for fall (or at least, fall in Florida!). So before you pack away your summer pieces, read on because I have a couple tips that will help you transition that tricky summer wardrobe into fall.

Tip #1: Hold onto your denim shorts. You can make a pair of dark denim shorts fall-ready with the addition of a blazer and silky blouse or a sweater.

Tip #2: Stretch out sandal season, especially if you’re in South Florida. Plus, it’s an easy way to make fall pieces look great in warmer climates.

Tip #3: An amazing neutral bag can be your BFF when transitioning your look to fall. Just be sure to pair back your accessories to keep the focus on it.

Tip #4: Invest in basics. A striped sweater will carry you through many seasons. Invest in this one! You’ll get a lot of mileage out of it.

Tip #5: Take a basic long sleeve top and roll up them sleeves!
