As a blogger, I work really hard at cultivating relationships with brands that not only make sense for me and my style but that I also adore. Yes, this means I grow slower and turn down a lot of projects but at least I stay true to myself and never compromise!

Over the years, I’ve worked with Bernardo (click here and here to see – I can’t believe how much my style has changed over the years!). I continue to work with them because I love wearing their outerwear, particularly their leather jackets. I also love their price points and above all, the craftsmanship that goes into each one of their products. So if you’re in the market for a leather jacket this fall – like this black leather jacket – continue reading this post…

Insta Kind of Cool

You try on an amazing leather jacket. You fall in love. You think, “this is everything.” Then you look at the price tag. Your heart skips a beat. “Do I buy it?” Heart beats faster. Takes deep breath. You slowly… very slowly… place the jacket back on the rack. Tear rolls down cheek. You walk away. Giving that beautiful leather jacket a little #sideeye while you wipe tear. You drive back home contemplating life. Go to sleep. Jacket in dreams. Go back to store. Repeat.

Raise your hand if this is you. Every weekend.

Waves both hands in air.

It’s that time of year. It’s time to break out the leather. Leather is perfect for fall. It’s also the international symbol of cool. No. Joke.

Growing up, I watched my favorite Spice Girls fashionista’s rock leather jackets. I associated leather jackets with rebels, rock stars and the cool kids. I wanted to be the same way! [So much in fact, I have a Glamour Shot wearing a leather jacket. When the photographer asked what props I wanted for my photo, I said – “the leather jacket. No bows. Please. And thank you.” Little did he know, this was the start of my blogging career. At like 7 years old.]
