First time, second time…(who knows), but I do know I enjoy getting lost in the Times. (wink, wink)

From runway to street style, New York Fashion Week is a time that lights up the entire city and… rest of the “fashion” world. A time where sidewalks become an actual runway filled with bold colors, plaid on plaid and a strong shoe game to name a few. Everything was fun, dramatic, tailored and wonderfully feminine.

What do remote locations in Mexico, exotic wildlife and Vogue all have in common? Cuixmala (my dream birthday destination this year)!
Not only has it been featured in Vogue (twice), most recently in the May 2018 issue (and many other notable publications), but it’s been a property – hotel – I’ve been dreaming of visiting ever since!
As you may have seen, I’ve been traveling nonstop lately. While I love being able to travel abroad (next stop: back to Mexico!), one thing I truly enjoy doing is getting to really know a city near me. It’s easy to forget that South Florida is a paradise destination – so why not explore the hidden gems that are waiting to be found right here?
THINK: a sanctuary of swaying palms, 18 secluded Bahamian style bungalows (without having to go to the Bahamas!) all connected to a sparkling shoreline. Now imagine, hammocks throughout the entire property – to encourage and welcome your most relaxed self. Right? A piece of heaven or what I’d like to call The Moorings Village in Islamorada, Florida Keys. Let’s explore…
As you have it, my latest adventure with the amazing LIKEtoKNOW.it family landed us right in the heart of Brazil aka the Amazon Rainforest. (Like what?!) A place that has always been on my bucket list since learning about its importance to our daily lives – I just never knew it would all happen so soon…
As I mentioned on Instagram a few weeks ago, I’ve received a ton of questions ranging from India to what lens I use from how I pack to what app I use for my IG Stories, so I thought, “let’s get to it…all of it on the blog today!”
But before I dive in, please know I am not an expert on India nor do I know all the answers or fully understand the creative bursts that make up the wonderment of this culture. I am just happy to highlight + share with you some personal tips from my own experience in India. I hope there’s something you can take away from it, too!
IT’S BEEN A MINUTE.
Like, woah. I know, I know. It’s taken me months to share this post. Blame it on the travels.
In case you missed it, I shared a blog post on where to shoot in Cartagena in March because I received SO many questions about it! (I also published a post about where I stayed in Cartagena here.) Today I’m answering some of your commonly asked questions like best places to eat, shop and stay.

Ah, Islamorada! My favorite destination in the Keys! Nestled between Key Largo and Key West, Islamorada is a quick three-hour drive from West Palm Beach where you will find palms for days and a serene beach front. We stayed at a small resort called The Moorings where we rented a quaint bungalow for the holiday weekend. It came equipped with everything from a brand new full-size kitchen to beach cruisers. And the view?! Don’t even get me started… the second you opened the two french doors, you walked right outside into the most gorgeous beach. I’m already counting down the days until my next visit! If you’re a young couple looking for a romantic getaway or have a small family, the Moorings is the place for you!
(continued from Indian Diaries Pt. 1…)
I arrived to Jaipur one part sad, one part happy. I was sad because I didn’t want to leave Udaipur. However, happy to explore Jaipur – the famous “Pink City” of India.
Our driver, Dev, met us at the Jaipur airport and didn’t say much. He just grabbed our luggage and threw it on the roof of his car (without ties, mind you). “Are you sure our luggage is safe up there,” we asked. “Yes, of course…” Four hundred speedbumps later, a few prayers and a bout of nausea – we made it safely to our new hotel. Yes, it paled in comparison to the unreal Taj Lake Palace (then again, most hotels will do that from now on) but still managed to be a cute, charming and a very suitable option for India. It was called Alsisar Haveli…
I’ll admit it. When Chelsae Anne (my photographer) asked me to join her + her crew in India during their month-long journey throughout Asia, I said “Chels, you’re crazy…” Only to take a step back and realize this was an opportunity of lifetime. Exhausted from traveling nearly every week the past two months, I put on my big girl pants, called my travel agent while I was in Mexico with my boyfriend and said, “book the ticket.” I didn’t check my bank account. I didn’t think twice about flying halfway across the world by myself. I simply thought, “go.” So, I sourced outfits for what would be one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever shot at and a week later, found myself en-route to mystical India…
