Le sigh… one of the most beautiful spots I found at GoldenEye in Jamaica was this rooftop ledge overlooking the mountains. In the early morning, mist would rise to the top, birds would sing while ocean waves would gently kiss the coastline. Sunrises are my favorite time of the day and I promise you they’re even better in Jamaica! If only I could travel back in time and go back to this very spot – with a cup of fresh Jamaican coffee. Today I’m unpacking, doing laundry and re-packing (yes, re-packing) my very tired suitcase in a pair of leggings that haven’t seen a gym in years and a college t-shirt – with a cup of bland coffee…

Tomorrow I jet off to a small jungle town near Tulum called Coba with my boyfriend. Don’t ask me how or why I’m traveling so much; it’s one of those things that’s kind of happened for me this year. (I guess what they say is true: whatever you put out into the universe, will happen!) Anyway, I’ve received a ton of questions about how I pack. So naturally, I thought I’d talk about what I brought with me to Jamaica…

For the most part, I kept my clothing light, breathable and cohesive so styling would be easy. I packed a ton of flat shoes (fully knowing I would be barefoot at the beach or in the blue lagoon) and one pair of espadrilles from Marc Fisher LTD in case I needed a nicer option for dinner. And since wedge espadrilles take up a lot of space in your suitcase, I made sure to bring a pair that was neutral and comfortable. A pair that goes with a lot of looks… and that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on. Let me explain!

A few months ago, while browsing Nordstorm.com, I stumbled upon Marc Fisher LTD shoes. By the end of my “research” (yes, research = shopping) I had 3-4 pairs of shoes in my shopping cart. Unfortunately, this happened to be during the holidays so before hitting the “Checkout” button I paused and thought about the many presents I had left to buy on my list. So, I (#sadface) emptied out my cart and made a mental note to revisit Marc Fisher LTD later.

I’m happy to report that the espadrilles exceeded my expectations and were so charming with my polka dot mini skirt, the many dresses I brought with me on the trip and with other fun accessories like this basket bucket bag…
