Hey guys! Thought I’d share some more pictures from my first fashion week experience! If you’ve never been, it’s a nonstop parade of shows, meetings and parties – all over the city! It’s definitely exhausting running all over the place but super exciting at the same time because it was such a thrilling thing to experience. I arrived to New York on Friday, Sept. 11 from Boston and immediately dashed to meetings. Then, back to my friends place to change and straight to the Nicole Miller show. Traffic was INSANE – it took me an hour and a half to get there but was so worth it! My seats were amazing! Think lots of pops of color, interesting fabrics and eclectic pieces… I wore Porte Mode to the show with Shop Prima Donna accessories. I spent the rest of the night hanging out at a cool bar with a friend called Wren, sushi at some random spot and strolling the streets of Soho. On Saturday, I woke up early (because I was staying on the other side of town) for the Lacoste show in Tribeca. Of all the shows, this one was the hardest one to see. I stood the entire time – hence the icky photos! This year’s show was inspired by the 2016 Summer Olympic games in Rio. Think lots of futuristic shapes, capes and geometric patterns and visors. Inspired by contemporary art (for all my ballerinas out there – she played music from “In the Upper Room” before the show) and bold colors, balancing “whimsical elements with sculptured lines.” She also used tons of PINK! Swoon… Sunday was by far the busiest day for me! It started with a preview of the Elie Tahari Spring 2016 collection. There were lots of embroidered and textural fabrics and sleek, modern silhouettes. Think “future meets natural.” Gladiator sandals completed most of the looks. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair! From there, I dashed to Chelsea for the RewardStyle rooftop party. I connected with old friends and made a ton of new ones. Loving how tight knit the blogger community is! <3 Tara from the blog, “Jimmy Choos and Tennis Shoes” and I cut our time short at the party to go to the Jenny Packham show. There, we connected with reporter, Christian Ramirez from Telemundo to watch the dreamy show. But seriously, can we talk about this lineup? I spent the rest of night catching up with a friend on the rooftop at The Peninsula Hotel, eating hotdogs and walking (in heels – yes, I was dead at this point) around the city. I woke up Monday morning beyond exhausted. I had a trillion blisters on my feet, dark circles under my eyes from a lack of sleep and a sore back from wearing heels too much. I wanted to take the morning off to rest, but my friend talked me into going to the Lela Rose show before my flight back to Florida. I’m SO happy I did because this show was breathtaking. The collection had an ethereal feel to it. And as you can see, it moved from softer hues of posy and shell into a radiant orange and finally to citrine. Triple swoon… Watch clip here Hope you enjoyed following along! Have a great week! Xo, Stephanie
