DRESS: (c/o) Marissa Webb/SANDALS: similar – save, spend, splurge/EARRINGS: vintage Valentino Cough. I have the travel bug. Cough. The kind of bug where you’re like, “where to next?” days after coming back from one of the most epic trips ever. You know that kind, right? Great. I’m sure you feel my pain. I’ve spent the past couple of days procrastinating. Pushing all my work to the side to research new and interesting locations around the world. As if my bank account is Beyonce’s. And I’ve found SO many amazing places! From a James Bond inspired hotel in Jamaica to Mexico’s number one luxury estate to an uber-Palm Beach-chic boutique hotel in the Dominican Republic, I’ve spent countless hours researching it all! The issue? Finding time to do these trips. My boyfriend has traveled to like… I don’t know, maybe 40-50 different countries around the world. Last year, he bought a world map and said, “place a pin next to all the places you’ve been to.” Once we realized I didn’t have nearly as many pins as he did, we put the map away and vowed to do more trips together. You would think growing up with a dad who’s a pilot would help? But no. It didn’t. Because once I decided to be a ballerina -> then a full-time blogger -> traveling got pushed to the sidelines. I don’t have many regrets in life but I definitely wish I would have taken advantage of those free plane tickets from my dad. Ugh, #LessonLearned. Moving on! Today’s look is from Marissa Webb, a contemporary designer who won my heart a few years ago thanks to the many bloggers I follow (Wendy’s Look Book, We Wore What, etc.). I accessorized this (gore) dress with a Lack of Colors hat to block out those harsh Mexican sunrays (FACT: I’m naturally really fair) and with a pair of vintage Valentino earrings I recently spotted at a consignment store in West Palm Beach.
