[Chelsae Anne | Photography] Most people prefer to share travel experiences with a friend or partner. Personally, my most cherished memories were traveling solo. As I mentioned in “Viva Mexico Pt. 1,” traveling alone can be life-changing and just as rewarding. Imagine reading in a bungalow while it rains or watching the sunset from your balcony with a glass of wine or taking yourself out to a nice dinner without having to make conversation with someone. It’s nice. You can be introspective; bringing you face to face with your thoughts. You can revel in your selfishness. Save money and so much more… which is why I urge you to make at least one solo trip in your lifetime. Anyways, as part of Marriott’s “Solo Traveler Series,” my photographer and I visited two hotel properties in Cancun to document the “Solo Travel” experience. The first part of our trip was to CasaMagna Cancun Resort & Hotel. The second part was to JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Hotel… Both properties were conveniently connected by a bridge and between the two, offered plenty of options for dining, outdoor activities and more. Our days consisted of early morning shoots (TIP: if you’re a blogger, aim to shoot in the morning that way you can beat the crowds), breakfast by the beach, beach and more beach, a couple Pina Coladas, beach, fabulous dinners and nights talking, laughing and reminiscing until the wee hours of the night. It was much needed. Both of our rooms had a shower and a bathtub as well as a beautiful balcony overlooking the pools and beach. Every night, I would open my balcony doors, sit outside and take it all in. This was especially beautiful on the night of the supermoon! Expect to see so much more in the coming months 😉 [Thank you Marriott for sponsoring this trip.]
