Remember the days of dressing up? Same. But as I’ve mentioned (in my “Toned Down Style” series here and here), there’s something to be said about embracing comfort while feeling inspired right now. Striking a balance between timeless and curated, which is why I’ve made a list of 10 key pieces I’ve been wearing on repeat. They’re great for mixing-and-matching in different dreamy sequences from pajamas to understated button-downs paired with the perfect accessories…my fave part? Everything is under $200. Dress: (c/o) Hunter Bell Loafers: (c/o) Birdies Wedges: Castañer (I also love this style and this style!) Bag: Indego Africa Madewell Cotton Courier Shirt I love the loose, oversized silhouettes made with the wear-it-anywhere cotton. It’s both versatile and chic, which can be styled with fitted pants or a midi-skirt depending on where you’re going. Sezane Tomboy Shirt Another lovely oversized option (I’ve shared many times before) and one of the best design hacks I’ve been living in: button-downs. Roll up the sleeves and pair it with slim jeans and a classic Brahmin (like this) or use it as a swimsuit cover up because it’s roomy enough (like this). Then, during the cooler temperatures it can easily transition to being layered with a light cardigan or sweater. Mod Lorelei Melbourne I haven’t worn a whole lot of other bags aside from my woven ones and Brahmin this whole year, which is why I’ve also invested in this one as it adds the perfect, textured accent to my understated, toned down look. Castañer Chiara 80 Canvas Wedge Espadrilles These signature woven espadrilles are the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe — stylish and comfortable. I especially love the ivory ‘Chiara’ pair, which I lace up the ankle and knot at the back and complement it with a flowy dress or pair of denim shorts. Schutz Sandals Simple, cushioned and elevated are these sandals by Schutz. The kitten heel gives these flip flops an updated classic summer style that makes it an absolute go-to for me. TKEES Flip Flops This matte leather (mix of shine and soft) pair of flip flops is beyond comfy. I’m always tempted to wear them with everything because of its effortless, barefoot feel. Eberjey Pajamas Eberjey is the comfiest pajama set(s) I own. Extremely soft and lightweight — flattering as it is comfortable — it leaves an unforgettable feeling and is difficult to ever change out of them. Whether it’s a monochromatic set or a flattering, fun print this brand nails it with their pieces. Birdies The Starling For days when I’m running around and really need the extra support, I opt for this pair. It offers incredible support with the softness of a slipper, which is due to its memory dual-layer foam and arch and heel support — I own four different styles! Citizens of Humanity Rosa Culotte Shorts Of course I can’t forget the denim shorts. I love this vintage-inspired cut off design as it pairs so nicely with a tucked-in tank or blouse — giving off a nostalgic weekend-friendly feel. Baublebar Hoop Earrings And to top it off, I throw on a pair of timeless gold earrings with a polished finish. Though simple it’s also eye-catching and works well with any day or evening looks.
